বই পড়ায় শিশুদের আগ্রহী করতে এবং আসন্ন অমর একুশে বইমেলা কীভাবে আরও শিশু-বান্ধব করা যায় সেই লক্ষ্যে “শিশুরাই সব” ও “বইবাড়ি রিসোর্ট” যৌথভাবে বেশ কিছু সুপারিশ প্রণয়ন করেছে।

গত ৭ অক্টোবর ২০২০ ইউনিসেফ প্রকাশ করেছে “এন্ডিং চাইল্ড ম্যারেজ: এ প্রোফাইল অফ প্রগ্রেস ইন বাংলাদেশ”। এই রিপোর্ট জানাচ্ছে যে, দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার মধ্যে বাংলাদেশে বাল্যবিবাহের হার সর্বাধিক এবং বিশ্বে সর্বোচ্চ ১০টি দেশের মধ্যে রয়েছে দেশটি। ১৯৭০ সনে বাংলাদেশে বাল্যবিবাহের হার ৯০ শতাংশের ও বেশি ছিল এবং এখনো এটি যে খুব কমেছে তা নয়। বর্তমানে ২০-২৪ বছর বয়সী ৫১ শতাংশ নারীই বাল্যবিবাহের শিকার হয়েছেন।

The Global status report on preventing violence against children 2020 charts countries’ progress towards the SDGs aimed at ending violence against children. Jointly published by WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative on Violence against Children, and the Global Partnership to End Violence against Children, it collates inputs from over 1000 decision-makers in 155 countries who assessed their violence prevention status against the evidence-based approaches set out in INSPIRE: Seven strategies for ending violence against children.
Children's voices in times of Covid-19
This research was conducted in March and April 2020 to explore children and young people’s reflections and perceptions on the COVID-19 outbreak. Children and young people have already started mobilising themselves, using online platforms to share their experiences and support others with information and emotional support.
